The CNM Education Collaborative is a joint venture between Albuquerque Public Schools (APS), Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), and the Native American Community Academy (NACA). The venture is bringing three distinct educational entities to one facility. The new four-story, joint-use high school facility includes an on-site health clinic with pharmacy, administrative and faculty offices, instructional and laboratory classrooms, and multi-purpose, wellness, and commons spaces. The facility features a remote central utility plant, a large rooftop photovoltaic system, a rammed aggregate pier foundation, open-air terraces ringed by landscaped planters at every floor, and an “exoskeleton” created from a variety of materials. The project is LEED Silver®.
